Panagiotis Kalantzis was born and raised in Sparta, the capital of the Laconia region. He studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and obtained his basic medical degree in 2003. He then served his term as a physician in the Air Force. After his discharge, he worked as a rural doctor in villages under his responsibility in the Trikala region. He began his residency in surgery and orthopedics at the hospital in Livadia and later moved to the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos," where he worked for the majority of his residency. He specialized in the departments of hand surgery, upper extremity, and sports injuries at KAT Hospital. After passing written and oral examinations, he received his specialization title in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2013. He worked as a Consultant in the Orthopedic Clinic of the General Hospital of Kavala until 2014. ..
With a particular clinical interest for hip and knee osteoarthritis, sports injuries, traumatology, and the management of acute and chronic pain, he has been working as an Orthopedic Surgeon in the private sector since 2014, collaborating with hospitals in Athens (Medical Group, Euroclinic, Athens Clinic, Bioclinic, Hygeia etc.). He, nowadays, is a Consultant in the 1st Orthopedic Clinic of Euroclinic Hospital in downtown Athens .The Clinic is specialized in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Surgery for primary Hip and Knee arthritis
